The stretch of 1.5 km Promenade along the beach is where all the travellers and the tourists come when they are pondicherry. The entire stretch is seen with people walking or jogging in the morning in the fresh breeze of the sea.One of the evening in Pondicherry, saw these elderly people talking causally on the Goubert Avenue.

A Village in the Mountains~Khonoma

If there has to be a green village,then it has to be in the mountains and that is exactly where Khonoma is-in the Mountains.With an estimated budget of Re 3 Crores as a part of the Green Village Project, all the roofs in this village were painted green.Now most of the color is gone. View of Khonoma village from the peak Around 20kms away from Kohima,Khonoma, India's first green village,is tucked up in the middle of the mountains,surrounded with paddy fields all around.It was a dusty ride from Kohima to Khonoma.We crossed a small stream of water ,granite quarries,some old and antique trucks laying on one side to reach Khonoma. Kachari Ruins, Dimapur

Dimapur for me is like an entry point into the state of Nagaland. It was six in the morning when we reached dimapur from guwahati in Nagaland Express train.The first look of dimapur coming out of the railway station looked more like a commercial city with taxi drivers shouting for passengers to kohima. We checked into a small hotel just opp to dimapur railway station for freshen up.While having our breakfast in a Punjabi hotel opp the railway station , we inquired about the way to Kachari Ruins with the guy sitting at the cash counter and his reaction was he never heard that name.We came out and asked an autowala to take us to Kachari ruins and he too was not aware of the place.
