Hospet is the major town which is close to Hampi, UNESCO World heritage site, and is well connected from bangalore and other major cities by buses and trains. Tourists visiting hampi will stay at hospet , which has many good hotels. Hampi is a small village,situated on the banks of the River Tungabhadra ,in Bellary district of karnataka which is around 350 km from Bangalore.This place is also listed in the UNESCO world heritage sites. Hospet is the major city which is 12 km from Hampi. An overnight train connects Bangalore to Hospet. Visitors can stay at hospet and can travel to hampi .Buses run frequently between Hospet and Hampi. Tungabhadra Dam is one of the  popular tourist attraction in Hospet.
